Optimized room calibration through the built-in MCACC Pro feature, in conjunction with Atmos-enabled speakers like the Elite Home Theater System or dedicated ceiling-mounted speakers, reproduces sound in smooth, curving, and realistic three-dimensional movement overhead by top-firing Atmos drivers. Extreme power with extreme efficiency are hallmarks of the Elite SC-LX701, thanks to Class D3(Direct Energy HD) amplifiers that deliver power in a cool running, lightweight package—generating less heat and energy loss than traditional Class AB designs, while consuming a fraction of the power and with greater reliability. Pioneer’s Class D3 delivers full power across all nine channels simultaneously for a total of 810 watts (8 ohms, 1 kHz @ 1.0% THD). With a direct signal path and no EMI filters, feedback loops or current limiting, these amps can handle low-impedance speaker loads that challenge lesser receivers.
