Powerful Class D3 Amplification
The no-compromise PE-SC-LX901 is the Elite line’s most powerful receiver this year, thanks to Class D3 amplifiers that deliver unbridled power in a lightweight, cool-running package. Unlike traditional Class AB amplifier designs, which suffer from reduced power output as channels are added, Pioneer’s advanced Class D3 digital circuitry provides identical and consistent high-current power to all of the speakers for a total of 850 watts (8 ohms, 1 kHz @ 1.0% THD), while generating radically less heat and energy loss than traditional Class AB designs for enhanced efficiency.

Ready for Object-Based Audio with DTS:X
The next-generation surround sound format, available as a no-cost firmware update, creates an amazing three-dimensional sound field that reproduces the movement of sound in space. It automatically adapts the signal to existing channels and speakers and requires no specific speaker layout. Plus, Zone 2 provides digital-to-analog conversion (DAC) for optical, coax, and HDMI (PCM) inputs.
