Pioneer® Elite BDP-80FD Blu-Ray Disc Player
The Pioneer® Elite BDP-80FD offers high-speed video and audio playback for 3D Blu-ray discs, DVD, CD, SACD, and wireless streaming, plus direct access to YouTube and other streaming apps like Picasa® photo albums. The new 1.5x View Scan with Audio function allows users to fast forward or rewind for content on a Blu-Ray Disc while keeping the audio understandable. Wi-Fi Direct allows streaming of favorite music and videos without needing a wireless router, and when Wi-Fi Direct is enabled, you can activate Miracast – via a direct button on the remote – to mirror any content from a smartphone, tablet or PC. Through DLNA, you can select, stream and play videos and music stored on a compatible computer, media server, or mobile device. Last, but not least, the user-friendly iControlAV5 app lets users control the BDP-80FD directly from a smartphone. It is freely available from the App Store or via Google Play.
Important Note - A recently-discovered conflict between Pioneer and Araknis prohibits Pioneer from receiving a dynamic IP from Araknis routers. While we work with Pioneer to determine a root cause, the current solution is to set the static IP address from the main GUI of Pioneer devices (receivers and Blu-ray players), using the provided Pioneer remote.

With Pioneer’s free app, you can use your iPod® touch, iPhone® or iPad® as a remote for controlling the Blu-Ray Disc player’s basic functions. The app is also compatible with Android. Enjoy smooth control from your device, with support for 8 languages (same setting as your device). *Blu-Ray Disc player needs to be connected to a home LAN network in a wireless LAN environment.
