The Zpre3 is a compact stereo preamplifier packed with custom integration features and the audiophile level of performance that Parasound is known for. There are five audio line level inputs including a front panel Aux input and a Bypass input and each input can be renamed to identify the connected source. The Bypass input enables integration with audio sources that have their own volume controls, such as AV receivers and streaming devices. The Bypass input is automatically selected when the Zpre3 is powered off, so users can listen to their streaming devices without having to turn on the Zpre3. The Zpre3 has features specifically for the professional custom installation market, including discrete IR remote commands, a 12V trigger output and 2-way RS232 with direct volume control. Automatic RS232 feedback allows for easy integration with keypads and touch-screen control systems such as Control4®. Additional features include both automatic turn on volume memory and favorite volume memory so it’s easy for the user to jump to his or her most common listening levels. There are fixed and variable outputs, as well as separate Mono outputs for a subwoofer and for mono architectural speakers. Compact size, audiophile performance and an array of useful custom integration features makes the Zpre3 suitable for just about any audio system.

This bypass input for surround sound or music streamer integration is a powerful tool. The Bypass input is automatically selected when the Zpre3 is powered off, so users can listen to their streaming devices without having to turn on the Zpre3.
Stereo, Mono and Subwoofer Outputs
The Zpre3 offers an array of useful outputs including variable and fixed stereo outputs  Variable and fixed mono/subwoofer outputs.
RS232 Control, IR Input and 12V Trigger Output 
2-way RS-232 control with exact volume feedback for advanced control systems. The rear panel IR input and 12V trigger output make remote control integration easy.
Remote Control 
The Zpre 3’s remote functionality was designed with flexibility in mind. Discrete commands for all functions for easy programming of macros, favorite volume memory with remote control button, bass, treble and balance adjustments all by remote control.
Optional ZRK Rack Mounting Kit
Unique half-rack width chassis (1 rack space high). Optional rack mount kit (ZRK) allows a single unit or two units to be rack mount side by side. Fits in a standard 19" equipment rack (1U). The ZRK rack mount kit must be purchased separately.
