Episode Extreme Environment Speakers take durability to the next level with a fully IP67-rated design, ensuring complete protection against dust and water. The factory-installed rear enclosure is completely sealed, while a gasket further protects both the front and back, eliminating water intrusion. This speaker is built to withstand the toughest conditions, delivering unmatched reliability in any environment.
 
Rust-Free, Clip-in Aluminum Design
 
Made from rustproof aluminum, our outdoor speaker grille features a secure clip-in design that doesn't rust and holds firmly — even in hurricane-force winds. An optional black grille is available for a sleek, customizable look.
 
2-Way Design with Polypropylene Woofer and Titanium Dome Tweeter
 
The 2-way design features a low crossover point, ensuring maximum dispersion for a rich, immersive audio experience. The injection molded cone with rubber surround delivers durable, powerful bass, while the lightweight titanium dome tweeter provides exceptional transient response for crisp, detailed highs. The 6" size includes a 3/4" tweeter, while the 8" size features a 1" tweeter. Unlike metal, our polycarbonate baskets are 100% immune to rust — which makes them perfect for humid, salt-air environments. Together, they create a balanced sound profile with clarity and impact, even in harsh environments.
 
IP67 Waterproof Enclosure
 
The preinstalled rear enclosure is factory sealed and pressure tested to ensure it’s fully waterproof, while a Gore breather equalizes internal and external pressure to maintain proper cone movement and long-term reliability. Inside, a hydrophobic PCB coating creates a moisture-resistant barrier that protects circuits in the event of condensation. 
 
Gasket Protection for Rear Cavity Integrity
 
The Poron gasket forms a tight seal between the speaker and the mounting surface, blocking water from entering the cavity behind the speaker. This added protection helps safeguard the surrounding structure, wiring, and components, promoting lasting performance in exposed or moisture-prone environments.
 
Oversized High-Grip Dogs with Rubber Screw Covers
 
Episode Extreme Environment Speakers are equipped with oversized dogs that ensure maximum gripping force, even in fluctuating temperatures. The dog mechanism is also positioned outside the speaker enclosure and safeguarded by rubber caps, providing complete protection against water intrusion.
 
Compatible Cutout and Brackets as Other Episode Speakers
 
Episode Extreme Environment speakers share the same hole cutout diameter as other Episode speakers, making them compatible with standard Episode pre-construction brackets.
