To be clear - this is not your everyday run-of-the-mill DAC (but we do sell one of those). The Binary™ HDMI Audio De-Embedder works like a multi-tool for the A/V world. It works as a bridge between whole-house audio and whole-house video. TheBinary™ HDMI Audio De-Embedder extracts and decodes up to Dolby® TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio™ audio formats and sends multichannel digital audio from a BluRay, AppleTV or other device to a surround receiver or matrix switcher. Simultaneously, it outputs a two-channel signal for whole-house audio. No missing audio, no menu-based selections to change formats, and no compromises.

Audio Format Flexibility
A rear dip switch delivers the flexibility to select which audio format goes from the de-embedder to the TV from the source output. A Mute setting only sends video to the HDMI output, ensuring that no audio passes through. A Pass-through setting allows audio to pass through as multichannel audio from the HDMI input to the HDMI output. Finally, an Audio Return setting enables eARC and ARC.

Two-Channel Audio Delay
Featuring two-channel audio delay, the Binary™ HDMI Audio De-Embedder is equipped with an adjustable rear dip switches that enables the two-channel audio to stay in sync with the HDMI video signal. It provides a variable delay for the two-channel stereo audio signal that is available to the analog audio outputs, as it downmixes multi-channel audio to two-channel analog audio.
