Atlona® 2x8 HDMI to HDBaseT Distribution Amplifier w/ 8 HDBaseT Receivers

The Atlona AT-HDCAT-8 is an HDMI to HDBaseT distribution amplifier with two HDMI inputs and eight, long distance HDBaseT outputs. It features auto-switching with manual override between the two HDMI inputs and an HDMI output for routing to an AVR or cascading up to eight units. Each long distance output transmits AV signals up 230' (70 m). The distribution amplifier is redundant-power supply-ready and provides PoCc (Power over Category cable) for compatible Atlona receivers plus audio de-embedding to S/PDIF and balanced captive screw outputs for AVRs and sound reinforcement systems. The AT-HDCAT-8 is ideal for digital signage applications, entertainment venues, and residential applications where one or two AV signals must be distributed to multiple, extended distance displays.

Smart Auto-switching

  • Simply power on/off a source device and the matrix conveniently switches inputs automatically.
  • A front panel input selector allows for manual input override

Power over Category Cable

  • Extend your AV signals up to 230ft; HDBaseT technology allows you to send power, video (up to 1080p or 1920×1200) with embedded multi-channel audio signals over a single category cable
  • Receives remote power from Atlona HDTX Series transmitters over the same category cable used for AV and control signals
  • Eliminates local AC outlet required at receiver, cleans up the installation behind displays, plus saves time and integration costs

Audio De-embedding

  • One S/PDIF port and one balanced, 5-pin captive screw connector allows de-embedded audio from the active input to be connected to a commercial sound system in a sports bar or other hospitality or entertainment venue

Power of One for All

  • Leave behind the power cable on your receiver; the HDCAT uses Power over Category cable (PoCc) to transmit power to all connected receivers over category cable

HDMI Loop Out

  • HDMI output for routing to a local display, AVR, or additional HDCAT distribution amplifiers
  • Supports up to eight cascaded HDCAT units at 1080p

Field updatable firmware

  • Front panel USB port provides an easy means for kit upgrades
  • Ensures long term system return on investment
